Workshop on “Principles of Legislative Drafting: Legal Aid and Legal Texts”
Between 17-20 December, ISISC will host the international workshop on “Principles of Legislative Drafting: Legal Aid and Legal Texts” on behalf of the Protection Project at The Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Sciences (SAIS).
The international workshop will analyze and discuss a wide array of issues in legislative drafting, including terminology, form, elements, challenges and phases of the drafting process. The workshop is structured into three modules, focusing on General Principles of Legislative Drafting; Drafting Legal Aid Legislation; and Harmonization of International Commercial Law.
The workshop will bring together international scholars and experts in legislative drafting, including those from civil, common, and Islamic legal systems, to develop cutting-edge legislation in the area of legal aid, share best practices in legislative drafting more broadly, further international dialogue, and explore new research directions.
